How does it work?
The municipality of Amersfoort has a different rule than most municipalities.
Namely, they have fixed locations for public charging stations.
The locations of the public charging stations are therefore already fixed and known to the municipality of Amersfoort, after which the charging station can be placed.
The municipality of Amersfoort has initiated this development in order to meet the increasing demand for public charging stations.

To participate in this promotion and be eligible for a Bol.com gift certificate, the following terms and conditions apply:
- This promotion applies only to charging stations placed within the municipality of Amersfoort.
- When multiple applications are received at the same location for a charging station, the first applicant gets the gift card. (First come, first serve).
- The promotion runs through March 31, 2025. Applications after this date will not be considered.
- Only fully and validly completed application forms approved by the municipality are valid for this promotion.
- Opcharge reserves the right to reject applications, for example, in case of incorrect data or unsuitability of the location.
- After approval and placement of the charging station, you will receive your gift certificate by email or mail. Please note that the process up to placement of the charging station can take up to 8 months, after which you will receive the gift certificate. You do not have to do anything yourself for this; we will keep you informed.

Still have questions?
In addition to the public options, you can also install a charging station on your own property or parking lot.
Just make sure there is no cord from the private charging station on the public road/roadside.
Opcharge does not offer this.
With Opcharge, however, you can request a business charging station.
If you work in a business area in Amersfoort but do not have a charging station, we will support you in the application.
With a charging station on your premises, you offer your employees and visitors just that little bit of extra service so they can continue their way without any problems.

You do this by filling out the application form on our website.
We will consider your request and then take action.
Location determination
The applicant for the electric charging point makes a proposal for the exact location.
In consultation with the municipality of Amersfoort, we check whether this location meets all the requirements.
As mentioned above, this municipality has different rules regarding locations of charging stations.
If the location meets the requirements, we proceed to the next step in the application process.
Choose type of charger
Opcharge offers two types of chargers; the standard charger and the fast charger.
Choose the type of charger necessary in your situation.
The differences between the fast charger and standard charger are as follows: Rapid Charger – DC Charger – between 20 and 900 kilowatts, Standard Charger – AC Charger – between 11 and 22 kilowatts.
