How to apply for a charging station

Complete unburdening
After your application, you don’t have to do anything. From orientation, financing, planning and installation of the charging stations. We take care of it for you.
Realization process
Step 1: Determine location
We search your area for a suitable location for the charging point or have already found one.
Step 2: Assessment by the municipality
The proposed location is submitted to the municipality for approval. Now we wait for their assessment.
Step 3: Processing the assessment
The municipality has assessed the location. If the location is rejected or an alternative is proposed, you will be notified within two business days. If the site is approved, you will receive an update in the near future as soon as Step 4 (the traffic decision) is completed.
Step 4: Traffic decision and objection period
If the municipality requires a traffic decision and/or participation, it will be published and an objection period of 3 to 8 weeks will follow.
Step 5: Apply for grid connection
The location is registered with the grid operator. This performs various checks and determines which cables are needed to connect the charging station.
Step 6: Planning the realization
After approval by the grid operator, the appropriate contractor is called in to plan the realization.
Step 7: Realization and commissioning
The charge point is ready! You will receive an email as soon as you can use the public charging station.
Cost of public charge point
Requesting a public charge point from Opcharge is completely free of charge. There is also no charge for the installation of the charge point. At Opcharge, you only pay a rate per kWh used. A current overview of the calculated costs per kWh can be found here.
