Opcharge UK, a leading operator of electric vehicle (EV) charging points, is proud to announce its strategic partnership with Flowbird, the UK’s leading authority on parking solutions. Together, Opcharge and Flowbird will usher in a new era of accelerated growth and customer-focused charging infrastructure in the UK.

Opcharge UK has ambitions to become a trusted name in the EV industry, aiming to install approximately 20,000 fully funded charging stations across the country. This bold venture positions Opcharge as a crucial player in EV energy supply and charging station rollout, working to improve the accessibility and convenience of electric vehicle charging in the UK.

Flowbird, on the other hand, brings unparalleled expertise in parking management, making them the leaders in parking solutions in the UK. Their extensive knowledge of parking stations, combined with Opcharge’s expertise in energy supply and charging infrastructure, forms a perfect synergy that will radically transform the EV sector.

Thomas Herbert, Managing Director of Opcharge UK, expressed his excitement about the partnership, saying, “Our partnership with Flowbird marks an important milestone in the journey towards a sustainable and accessible EV charging network in the UK. By combining Opcharge’s experience in energy supply and charging infrastructure with Flowbird’s parking expertise, we are not only able to accelerate growth, but also provide a seamless and customer-focused parking and charging experience.”

Joe Rowley, EV Director at Flowbird, shared his excitement and said, “Flowbird is delighted to partner with Opcharge UK in this exciting venture. Together we have the potential to make EV charging more accessible and convenient than ever. Our combined skills and commitment to innovation will undoubtedly pave the way for a greener, more sustainable future.”

We look forward to working closely with Opcharge to bring positive change to the UK’s EV landscape.”

The first project of this dynamic collaboration will include the provision of 40 charging stations to Wokingham Council. This initiative represents an important step forward in improving the accessibility and convenience of EV charging for Wokingham residents and visitors.

The partnership will install AC and DC chargers from Compleo, the Oxfordshire-based charging company. Compleo offers a range of chargers from 7-200kW and already has a strong relationship with both Flowbird and Opcharge. Matthew Downs, Head of Business Development at Compleo, said, “We are very excited about the partnership between Compleo and Flowbird. Both companies are committed to increasing the number of publicly available EV chargers for UK drivers and we are proud to support them both.”

Opcharge UK and Flowbird remain committed to their collaboration to deliver innovative and customer-focused EV charging solutions in the UK. With a shared vision of sustainability and efficiency, this collaboration is poised to revolutionize the EV charging infrastructure, one charging point at a time.
