Tender Manager

Breda
32 - 40 hours

Opcharge is building an electric future with 90,000 charging stations by 2030. We are looking for an experienced Tender Manager to expand and strengthen our position in the tender market. In this strategic role, you will anticipate market opportunities, build strong relationships with municipalities and companies, and lead the entire tender process from initial exploration to successful award. We are looking for a results-oriented professional with extensive tendering experience, preferably in infrastructure or sustainability, who has strong communication skills and the drive to contribute to the energy transition. At Opcharge you will have the opportunity to make an immediate impact in a dynamic growth market where innovation and sustainability are key.

The role & responsibilities

As Tender Manager at Opcharge, you understand the complex forces within the energy transition and translate market developments into a clear strategic positioning that determines which tenders we participate in. Once there is a Go for participation, you manage the entire process and ensure all preconditions necessary to win and successfully execute upon award. This requires a keen insight into the actual needs of contracting parties, an accurate estimate of investment costs and required teams. In addition, you have a strategic vision of which products or services Opcharge should purchase or develop itself. You combine market knowledge with operational expertise and ensure that every tender is not only won, but also flawlessly executed.

To stay abreast of the latest market developments and preferably one step ahead of our competitors, you will build a network of relevant relationships. Both within our public sector at national, regional or municipal level, as well as within the semi-public and private sector. Think of healthcare institutions and semi-public institutions such as Schiphol Airport, hospitals and water boards.

What you will do

As Tender Manager:

  • Anticipate new tender invitations; you know what’s going on and manage the tender calendar.
  • Maintain contacts with municipalities and tender collaborations such as the NAL regions, MRA-Electric, healthcare institutions or other semi-public authorities.
  • Work with Sales, both in the public and private sectors, and build with them “the knowledge platform” on market developments in charging infrastructure.
  • Create understanding of tender specifications, engage appropriate internal and external expertise, and advise in decision making to participate.
  • Advise and guide the tender strategy combined with the project management of the tender to achieve the submission of a high quality and winning tender proposal.
  • You spearhead the further development of the Tender Organization for successful participation.

Of course, you don’t do this alone. You are part of a close-knit Commercial team that is managed by the CEO / COO. Together we go full speed ahead!

What you need to be successful

At Opcharge, we strive for good relationships and personal contact. The appropriate Tender Manager feels at home in our Cultural DNA:

PROJECT MANAGEMENT

  • You provide direction with clear goals and meticulously manage budget, schedule, task assignment and results.
  • You have experience in tender writing and keep internal and external stakeholders informed of the progress of the process throughout the process.
  • You motivate and appeal to people for ownership and create a safe, productive work atmosphere, where the team learns from what works and doesn’t work in participating in tenders.

COMMERCIAL/CREATIVE

  • You are focused on value creation and know how to creatively create opportunities.
  • You innovatively turn the question-behind-the-question into distinctive tender approaches.
