Opcharge is proud to announce that the 150th charging point has been installed in Dordrecht.
This milestone is an important step in the mission to make electric driving accessible to everyone.
Placement policy Dordrecht
In Dordrecht, it is expected that 2200 charging points will be needed by 2030 to keep up with the increase in the number of electric cars.
To meet the number of charging poles needed, the Dordrecht municipality adjusted the placement policy in 2023.
The municipality chose locations where charging poles could be placed and then validated them.
In the process, Dordrecht residents were given the opportunity to respond to the proposed locations.
All suitable locations were then raffled off among the charging station operators, who were given a maximum of six months to install the charging station.
Good communication with the residents of Dordrecht is therefore important for the placement of the charging stations.
After all, the charging stations are placed to support residents in making mobility in the municipality more sustainable.
Positive trend
The expected growth in the number of electric cars in Dordrecht shows that sustainability is becoming increasingly important in everyday life.
Opcharge wants to continue to support this positive trend by further expanding the charging network in Dordrecht and in other municipalities.
Together with the Dordrecht municipality, Opcharge remains committed to a greener future.
Let’s Green Dordrecht!
