Opcharge is proud to announce that the 100th charging point has been installed in Dordrecht.
This milestone is an important step in the mission to make electric driving accessible to everyone.

Placement policy Dordrecht

In Dordrecht, 700 charging points are expected to be needed by 2025 to keep up with the increase in the number of electric cars.
To meet the number of charging poles needed, the Dordrecht municipality adjusted the placement policy in 2023.
To meet the charging demand, charging station operators are allowed to indicate on a plan map where they want to place charging stations.
Dordrecht residents are then given the opportunity to comment on the proposed location.
If the location is suitable, the charging station operator will have no more than six months to install the charging station.
Good communication with the residents of Dordrecht is therefore important for the placement of the charging stations.
After all, the charging stations are placed to support the residents in making mobility in the municipality more sustainable.

Positive trend

The expected growth in the number of electric cars in Dordrecht shows that sustainability is becoming increasingly important in everyday life.
Opcharge wants to continue to support this positive trend by further expanding the charging network in Dordrecht and in other municipalities.

Together with the Dordrecht municipality, Opcharge remains committed to a greener future.
