EV Transition
The Dutch government has set the goal of having 1,000,000 electric vehicles (EVs) on Dutch roads by 2025. This stated goal is ambitious, but achievable. For example, the 2020 goal was to have 200,000(PH)EVs on Dutch roads. However, this has been reduced by 22% exceeded since a total of 255,431 (PH) EVs were registered in 2020.
The ambition to have 1,000,000 EVs on Dutch roads by 2025 is therefore not an unthinkable scenario.
Further expansion of charging infrastructure in Culemborg municipality
EV drivers in the municipality of Culemborg will soon be able to charge their EVs at 32 new charging points in the municipality of Culemborg, in addition to the current 38 OPCHARGE charging points. “Due to monitoring of the current charging points and requests from residents, expansion is necessary.” said Pieter Haans, managing partner OPCHARGE. Through the cooperation with Vrijstad Energie, the EV driver is also assured that locally 100% green generated Betuwe electricity is loaded into the car.
