All about fees, charges and rates at Opcharge

Payment & Rates

What is the current charging rate?

Our current rate can be found on the rates page. In addition, please check with your charge card provider as they may charge additional fees.

Why can the charging rate be higher than it says on your website?

Some charge card or charge app providers charge an additional surcharge on top of our rate. As a result, the final amount may be higher than the base rate we communicate. We have researched which charge passes are the most economical at Opcharge charging stations. View the results on our charge pass advice page.

Why a connection fee?

The connection fee prevents cars from staying plugged in unnecessarily long after charging. This keeps the charging station available for other electric drivers. Read more about our connection rate on the rates page.

Why do I see a reservation fee when paying by credit card?

When you start a loading session, your bank temporarily reserves an amount to check whether there is sufficient balance available. Afterwards, this is automatically adjusted to the correct amount. Do you notice that the reserved amount is not released in time? If so, please contact your bank for further handling.

My invoice is not correct, now what?

Billing is through your charge card or charge app provider, not through Opcharge. Therefore, please contact your provider directly. They can explain exactly where the difference comes from and help you further.
